Hart Hearing & Balance Centers have been providing comprehensive, state-of-the-art hearing health care with a personal touch for over 40 years. Each one of our five conveniently located offices in Rochester, NY is staffed by a Doctor of Audiology, with extensive experience and training in fitting and dispensing today’s advanced hearing technology.

Meet Our Team
Dr. stephen t. hart
Audiologist
Dr. Steve Hart has been practicing audiology and addressing the hearing needs of his patients for over 40 years. He received his masters degree in audiology from SUNY Geneseo and his doctorate in audiology from the University of Florida. In 2007, Dr. Hart was awarded the Distinguished Clinical Achievement Award from the New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association. His professional activities include serving two terms as a member of the New York State Licensure Board as well as past leadership positions in regional and state associations.

Audiologist
Dr. Pete Hart joined the practice in 2012, seeing patients in Fairport and Irondequoit. He completed his undergraduate studies at SUNY Geneseo and received his doctoral degree from the Northeast Ohio Au.D. Consortium - a joint program between The Cleveland Clinic, The University of Akron, and Kent State University. Pete enjoys weekends on the St. Lawrence River, biking, and spending time with family and friends.
DR. SARAH L. HODGSON
Audiologist
Dr. Sarah Hodgson joined the Hart Hearing & Balance team in November 2017. She received her Doctorate in Audiology from James Madison University (JMU). Dr. Hodgson is a native of Penfield and is excited to be moving back to Rochester. She is thrilled to be serving the audiological needs of the Rochester community and particularly enjoys helping to improve patient’s quality of life and communication with loved ones through amplification. Dr. Hodgson is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). In her spare time, she enjoys reading, scrapbooking, and exploring new places!
Dr. Susan H. Newman
Audiologist
Susan began her audiology career over 35 years ago right here at Hart Hearing & Balance Centers and then spent many years at Monroe 1 BOCES. She received her Masters in Audiology from Ohio University and her Doctorate from the University of Florida. She’s very excited to return to Rochester from the Erie, PA area to be closer to her family and to serve the patients she will soon meet. Susan enjoys knitting and reading in her free time and will definitely cherish time with her growing family.
Dr. Ally M. Centola
Audiologist
Ally re-joined the Hart Hearing & Balance Team in October 2022 and will be seeing patients in Irondequoit and Greece. Ally completed her undergraduate career at SUNY Plattsburgh and received her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Pittsburgh. In her free time, she enjoys going to the YMCA, taking walks with her German Shorthaired Pointer, Bailey, and hanging out with her family.
Wendy thomas
General Manager
Wendy joined the Hart Hearing & Balance team in January 2016. Wendy’s responsibilities include financial management and human resources. When Wendy isn’t balancing the books, she enjoys gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family. Wendy resides in Irondequoit with her husband Jim and their three children Max, Jake, and Maddy.
MARY LIVECCHI
Medical Billing Manager
Mary LiVecchi joined HHC in September 2017. Mary will be wearing several hats in her Administrative role with Hart Hearing & Balance. You may see Mary assisting clients at the Titus Avenue location as well as working behind the scenes to support our accounting and billing department. Mary resides in Irondequoit with her husband Marc and two children. Outside of work Mary enjoys reading, yoga, camping and spending time with family and friends.
Cassie Wright
Patient Coordinator
Cassie joined the team at Hart Hearing & Balance Centers in June 2023. She will be an Administrative Coordinator mainly at our Greece location. Cassie previously worked in the audiology world while living in TN. Cassie and her husband Josiah relocated back to Rochester from TN in May of 2023 with their loving and energetic pup, Zoey. Outside of work Cassie enjoys reading, playing tennis and spending time with her family.
Colleen Young
Patient Coordinator
Colleen joined HHC in 2012 as the patient coordinator at our Fairport and Brighton offices. She is very proud of her two beautiful daughters. Colleen lives in Farmington with her husband and their two dogs.
Amanda mascia
Patient Coordinator
Amanda joined the team in April 2018. Amanda splits her time between our Brockport and Brighton offices. She resides in Spencerport with her husband, Darren and three children. Outside of the workday, Amanda enjoys sports and watching her children play soccer, hockey and lacrosse. In her spare time, she also likes to knit and make various crafts.
Claire Bradman
Patient Coordinator
Claire Bradman joined HHC in 2014 after moving back to New York from Florida to be closer to her grandchildren. She keeps everyone in check as Patient Coordinator at our Irondequoit office. Claire also ensures our offices in Brighton and Brockport run smoothly. When Claire isn't in the office she enjoys yoga, spending time with family, and visiting friends back in Florida.
Tami Marcello
Medical Billing Specialist
Tami joined the Hart Hearing & Balance team in June 2021 as the medical billing specialist. Tami lives in Greece with her partner, Greg, and their ‘family’ of birds, cat and fish. When she’s not in the office, she enjoys spending time walking, kayaking and taking a drive with family and friends.
Bridget Morriss
Patient Technology Coordinator
Bridget joined the team at Hart Hearing & Balance in September 2018. Bridget's main role is processing hearing aids. You can also see her warm smile at our Brighton office. Bridget resides in Charlotte with her two cats, Joanna and Ares. In her free time, Bridget enjoys kayaking, hiking and camping. She has also been known to bake an incredible pie!
Kerry Nolan
Administrative Coordinator
In October 2022 we welcomed Kerry to the Hart Hearing & Balance team! Kerry will be wearing many hats as our Administrative Coordinator working mostly in the Greece office. Kerry's past career was in the classroom as a Home Economics teacher. Kerry lives in Greece with her cats Cinnamon and Nutmeg. She stays very busy outside of the office designing jewelry accessories and home décor, dancing and performing with the Rochester Irish set dancers, walking/hiking, spending time with family and traveling.
